INTO 2025

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year peeps! YEE HAW!

With every new year, so many of us reflect on the year gone by—the challenges, the changes, the wins, and everything in between. It's that time when we start dreaming up ways to make the next year even better. We announce our resolutions with so much excitement—“I’m going to work out more,” “I’m going to quit drinking,” “I’m going to spend more time with the people I love,” and so on. Every year, I make my own list of goals, but I’ve kept them to myself. I’ve been doing this for five years now, and it’s honestly so fun to look back and see how my priorities have evolved—and it makes me proud to see how far I’ve come!

This year feels really special for me. For the first time, I don’t feel like I’m constantly pushing for change. I’ve finally found my place, and it feels so good. I love who I am, I love my work, and I’m surrounded by amazing people. This year, I want to focus on enjoying the life I’ve worked hard to build, while staying grateful for all of it. I’m also excited to continue as a dive instructor, gaining more experience and advancing my training.

I want to focus on learning new things and spending more time with my photography and art. It’s already off to a great start because I’ve learned how to juggle, signed up for a Spanish class, and have been bringing my camera along on all my adventures. Life is good, what can I say?

I kicked off the year by flying back to the States to visit my family. I landed in New York to finally meet my niece (who is without a doubt the cutest little girl on the planet) and spend time with my sister and brother-in-law. Then, I headed to Texas for a weekend at the ranch with my best friend, reliving the good ol' days, and finished off the trip with a celebration of my dad’s 68th birthday with my family. Oh, and I even got to see some snow!

As much as I love and miss my family, the feeling I got when I saw Curacao from above as my plane descended was the same feeling I get when I see them. I know in my heart that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, and I’m so grateful to call Curacao home. Living in Curadise ;)

And Butters is doing great too! He just turned 3!! They really do grow up fast. Here’s a little video that my good friend Nathan made of him on his birthday swim—hope you enjoy it!

Another year means more change and, of course, another ‘see you later.’ Jens and Claudia arrived in Curacao the same week I did, and I’m really going to miss seeing them at work every day. We shared some great memories, and I know you two will love Mexico. I’m sure we’ll cross paths again one day. Keep on ‘divin divin scuba divinnnn’! ;)

P.S. New year, new photo gallery! Go check out how 2025 is kicking off for me :)

And I know this goes without saying, but to all those reading, thanks again for another year of love and support!

xxoo
